Municipal Development Plan (MDP) of Junik

Junik well known as the home of kulla’s and the highest mountain in Kosovo became in 2007 (with formal approval of Kosovo Constitution 15 June 2008) officially a municipality. In order to benefit from the cultural and natural beauty Municipality of Junik started the planning process in 2007 with support by CHwB by drafting a “Conservation and Development Plan for Junik”. After this project a Visioning Workshop supported by UN-Habitat was organised and as a recommendation from this workshop in August 2008, municipality of Junik with support from CHwB decided to draft the “Urban Development Plan (UDP)” and “Urban Regulatory Plan (URP) for the centre of Junik”. According to the law on Spatial Planning, Junik should develop the Municipal Development Plan (MDP).
Restoration of the Great Hammam in Prishtina, Kosovo

Feeling the risk that many of important buildings have been lost and also the risk of loosing the others that were left in pretty bad conditions, the restoration of the Great Hammam, a building with high values that dates from the end of 15th century have been initiated. The restoration activities have began in the spring of 2008. First Phase of the Restoration / Consolidation and strengthening of the weakened construction of the building have been done so far. The works for implementing the Second Phase of the Restoration / Restoration of the Domes in the “hot section” will be starting by the end of March 2009, and based on the funds that have been secured and commitment of the owner, the Municipality of Prishtina, this project will be finished by the end of 2010.
Conservation and Restoration of interior decoration in Hadum Mosque, Gjakova

Cultural Heritage without Borders in year 2007 signed the contract with UNESCO regarding interior conservation and restoration of the Hadum Mosque in Gjakova.
The end of March 2008 marked the first activities related to the implementation of the first UNESCO founded project in Kosovo.
The First phase of work has ended in the October 2008, while the restoration of wooden decoration elements will be finished during the April 2009.

Refurbishment and Restoration of Religious Sites in Prizren
