In June 2009 Municipality of Junik in a regular meeting of Municipal Assembly, officially approved Urban Development Plan “Junik 2023+” and Urban Regulatory Plan “Center of Junik”. CHwB as a manager of the whole process made the official handover of these planes on July 2nd 2009, which at the same time represent the first urban planes drafted in history of this town.

As previously announced, on 29th of May 2009 in University of Prishtina, Faculty of Architecture, were given two public lectures from Ark. Xhelal Llonçari “Synergic Architecture” and Ark. Valon Germizaj “Contemporary Architecture explication of the Past”
Spontaneous discussions between participants (professors, architects, and students of architecture from Prishtina) and lecturers at the end of each topic encouraged a descent debate which enriched this organization and also proclaims the need for persistent organizations of this kind.

After the first successful cooperation of CHwB and UNESCO regarding the Restoration of wall paintings and wooden decoration elements in Hadum Mosque in Gjakova, on Thursday, 7th of May 2009, Cultural Heritage without Borders (CHwB) and The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) signed a contract regarding the Restoration of Hammam in Mitrovica in order to ensure proper conditions for long term preservation of the monument. This activity takes part under the UNESCO project “Safeguard of Cultural Heritage in Kosovo”, (financed by the funds provided by the United States of America) which is dedicated to the safeguard and rehabilitation of the selected cultural heritage sites and monuments in Kosovo.

On 29th of April 2009, CHwB and Municipality of Rahovec signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding restoration and conservation of “Clock Tower” in Rahovec. The detailed situation analysis and project drawings design have been started. Building restoration and conservation will start just after the detailed project drawings will be finalized.
